How is Frank Mir so delusional?

Does he truly believe he is faster than Junior, or is he just trying to hype the fight? He always prides himself on being well spoken and articulate. Yet he says he is going to "pepper" JDS?

Does anyone think it's a real possibility that Frank Mir will "pepper" Junior in the stand up?

I feel like Mir is talking himself into one of his ego trips like he had before the Carwin and Brock (UFC 100) fights. He's going to go in there thinking he is invincible after snapping Noguiera's arm and try and stand and "pepper" JDS.

What round do you think it will be when his eyes clearly show his mistake in judgement after Junior peppers his brain and makes him look like he was stealing strawberry pie again? Phone Post

He better believe he can win. Otherwise why would he take the fight?

WTF are you talking about? He's a fighter who is going to fight. Of course he believes in himself. It doesn't matter that JDS outclasses him standing, he has to believe he can find a way to win there.

What should he say, that he is going to get FUBAR'd? Phone Post

If he wasn't this confident and delusional he would've been done a few years ago...would be awesome if more fighters were this optimistic, as wacky as it may seem Phone Post

 starts with the delusional fans

Guys, this is just pre-fight talk, it's all part of the game. If Frank can convince JDS that's he's going to try and prove he's a better striker than he is, or maybe even agitate Junior a little bit, than that's all the better for Mir. I doubt that any of that's going to work but you never know.

Shahanshah - I assume he doesn't watch his own fights to see how poorly he has performed in his last 3.

He is coming off a 3 fight win streak you idiot. He basically took Nog's arm home with him. Do some research.

Mir is no slouch. He thinks he can win. Would you rather him think he is gonna lose?

I think Mir has a good chance of pulling of an upset here. IF it hits the floor, and Mir still isnt knocked out, he can end the fight at any moment. If you dont agree then you are a hater. He has proven himself to be the best at Subs in the HW division.

I am not saying i agree with everything Mir says, but he definetly has a good shot at this.

Frank's walk-in, confidence look, seemingly half-eyeing the crowd is worth the price of admission alone.

He's a character for sure.

And he's a killer, why wouldn't he think he could win any fight?

What he supposed to say, He is way faster and better then me? i am gonna get KTFO.
No You dolts he has to go in there confident, nothing wrong with why he said.
If you ever compete in anything, you'll understand this.

Standing in front of JDS is not a good idea.

NICK DIAZ GOAT - Mir > junior by Submission.

And how does he get the fight to the ground? Phone Post

I've always wondered about folks who complain about a fighter's self-confidence. If you were their trainer, how would you encourage them to feel? Do you really tell, for example, Rampage going into his third fight with Wand that he has no chance against him or any other member of Chute Box?

If by this question do you mean what is his best chance, the answer is pretty clearly to get a clinch and land a throw. JDS keeps his hands low to defend the shot, plus Mur hasn't shot on anyone since Tank, and he didn't even land that shot, pulling guard and grabbing an ankle. On the other hand, he shown at least one Karo-inspired throw, and we have no idea how skilled JDS is in the clinch.

he has pulled miracles over sylvia, nog twice, and kongo. hes got that x factor

Wouldn't really call the Sylvia win a miracle, just one of the worst strategic decisions ever in the cage (i.e., striking specialist shooting on the submission specialist).

who cares! JDS by KO in 1st rd. easy as pie. They should have have had Hendo fight! No one is even going to buy this PPV.
