How is the middle finger over the line in a fight?

THese two guys are trying to pummel each other for money and a belt and a middle finger at 10:23 at night is going to corrupt America?

Goddamn this pussification

its just really gay

its doubly gay when you do it when you are getting the beating of your life

Well doing it is a side argument to what I'm asking but yeah

So silly. It's a fight. Would anyone actually be offended by one finger? Phone Post

Tv rules are stupid.

I thought all these sound and video cutaways were bad production and then realized it was lame fox censorship Phone Post

If you're still giving the finger after the age of 15 you're pretty much a loser. You don't look tough, you look stupid. Phone Post

thats not really what I'm asking though, I'm just curious how Fox or the FCC thinks someone will complain and get them fined over a middle finger in a fight?

No problem though showing rape, kidnapping, murder on tv, though

Its after the round.

Similar to talking sh*t once the cops arrive...

the FCC embodies all of the negative stereotypes of a government - stupid, ridiculous, wasteful, ineffective

I agree. I just think giving the finger is gayer than two dudes fucking. Phone Post

The advertisers who are paying for the show make the rules. If they don't want middle fingers, FOX won't show middle fingers.

The FCC is not an issue because they don't regulate broadcast television between the hours of 10PM and 6AM.

We're any of you around this sport 20 years ago? Cage fighters were looked at as Neanderthals. We have come so far. MMA is on network TV. Childish antics like that just validate the notion that fighters are what the average American believes them to be. Phone Post

QFT.

Nobody remembers the dark years.

Quoted for truth.

And btw, I'm 30... not like I have a much easier time keeping up with acronyms on the internet. :) Just trying to stay young mentally.

Consider the fact that as MMA fans, we would all like more widespread understanding of and appreciation for the sport and it's participants. We want the casual fan or the uninitiated to learn about MMA so the sport can grow. Most, not all, but most MMA combatants want the world to view them as true martial artists rather than a skill level above Toughman.
There is nothing 'martial arts' about stucking your middle finger up. That's juvenile behavior. Martial arts is about discipline, honor, respect, and self control. Representing yourself in a good manner.
Fox did MMA a favor by censoring the middle fingers. People that see it as a bar room brawl with rules won't change their mind much by watching Diaz shoot the bird. Phone Post

I was expecting the word "INTERMISSION" to appear in bold while baseball music plays.
