- Be quicker
- Land dozens of hard leg kicks
- Pressure Jones but don't force things
- Use angles
- Close distance but disengage immediately, making Jones miss
- Land hard elbows from clinch
- Be stronger mentally
If you're reading this, Jon Jones, I don't like you.
haha, I like Jon, but I can't wait to see if he can get his timing and gameplan down with Machida. A lot of people have written Machida off, but damn, just rewatch the Rashad Evans fight and see what he can do to a pretty good wrestler. I'sa nervous about this one. I think everybody knew how the Rampage fight would turn out, not this one.
LOL. Thanks Captain Obvious.
Team Blackhouse should hire you.

I have a résumé and cover letter ready. Please put in a good word. Oh, and mention that I have a 'How to beat Sonnen' gameplan as well. Thanks!
I can see Machida in his post fight interview now, "I would like to thank Kostakio from the UG and my father....." :P
and master Seagal.
BrCutter - and master Seagal.
Yes. I won't allow for him giving me all the credit. That's just absurd.
You missed:
-be a better fighter
-hit jones in the face
-drink piss
-when you get down, stop being down and be awesome instead.
Other than though, great tips!
Dozens of hard leg kicks are just asking for a dozen hard greco trips and throws
Machida's style is based on elusiveness so its hard to see him putting the pressure on
Angles will be huge in this fight
closing in will risk a clinch battle
elbows on the way out are a must but Jone's elbows have less distance to travel
Mental toughness is everything in all fights
How do NYers hate NYers ?
Oh yeah !

Jon Jones isn't from New York. He's from Upstate.

Well-timed leg kicks are safe, imho.
And you can pressure an opponent while still being elusive. Watch Machida-Ortiz.

Good reply. The key for Machida will literally be distance manipulation. The person who does this better will take this fight. Jones is very good at putting people on the end of his techniques, on top of being able to close and take down at will. Machida finds gaps, and exploits them incredibly quickly. If Jones leaves enough gaps, Machida will find em. This fight is Jones' to lose, if he stays tight and disciplined and keeps Machida at distance or on the floor, he takes it.

My God , then either are you ! Strong island
No to be mean or anything Kostakio but you really don't know much about MMA fights but I do enjoy your breakdowns from time to time.
Your headline should have read "Lyoto literally has 0 chance this fight".

I'm very interested to see what Lyoto's gameplan tonight is. If anyone is going to solve the riddle of Jones anytime soon, this is the guy.
Jon Jones, if you are reading this, I do not like you either.
lyoto needs to check all of jon's kicks very hard.
