Please teach me your ways. I'd like to do whatever possible to have a career working from home.
Stop using caps lock, for one.
Get an outside sales job
What is your skill and interest.
What can you offer to the world, and what would u like to do?
Seriously just found out today I'm going to start working from home. I'm about to save so much money and have free time during the day. Very excited.
I cant help you with your question though. The company I work for is growing at a rate they kind of have to have some work from home.
I have worked from home for 12 years. It is nice, but it ain't all flowers either. You have to push yourself. I have spent many Sunday afternoons working.
I currently work from home. Worked at a company for about 10 years as an engineer. I don't know another engineer that gets to work from home... My wife was offered an awesome job in another state so we decided to do it just for the life experience. When i told my company the deal they told me to pack my office, take it with me, and just travel when needed.
I'm sure it will be a somewhat temporary gig but i'm taking advantage of it while i can. The key is i design machinery in a very niche industry and its extremely difficult to find engineers with experience.
Get ready to do nothing but browse the OG for months at a time and then bust ass day and night for weeks straight once it starts to look like you are going to miss your deadline....... At least, that's how I manage my time.
I work from home one day a week but will probably be more soon. I'm a Network Engineer
Andrewsimar Palhardass - Stop using caps lock, for one.I was trying to get your attention

Vasechkin -I been a musician for 20 years, I can play guitar, bass and piano at a high level. I can transcribe music by ear very well. I also have a pretty good speaking voice. I was thinking about finding a way to make money recording audio books. I also can type pretty fast. I also like looking at hot women. I work a dreadful job right now doing construction. It leaves he dead at the end of my day and I don't have the energy to do the things I actually enjoy. What is your skill and interest.

CoughSyrupOD - Get ready to do nothing but browse the OG for months at a time and then bust ass day and night for weeks straight once it starts to look like you are going to miss your deadline....... At least, that's how I manage my time.Lol this is fairly accurate. I get caught up with wife and kids when I should work and then burn the midnight oil catching up to deadlines.
OP, do you have a college education (4 year)? If so, CACI Inc is in big time need of Background Investigators to work a Federal Contract. You need to be eligible for a Top Secret Clearance (stable life, good credit, no work issues, pattern of trustworthiness)...if you get it, 1st year is 42k plus bonuses, and 2nd year is around 55k depending on your quality of work.
Also, as I was said before, IT guys have lots of work from home options.

Anyone else besides male cam whore
Get a job in tech. As long as I have internet I can work. I do from home a couple days a week. It's great.
I work from home most of the time but I do rent an office that I rarely go to. Short version of what I do is I make websites for businesses. I also have a few employees but they are all remote so the office is really when it gets noisy at home.
Lots of truth in this thread.
It's a great gig if you are a self starter and follow through. Sounds obvious but so true.
You have to have good work habits and keep a strict scheduile. Also shave occasionally and change out of your bathrobe by lunchtime at least.
I WFH. This is my first job where I work exclusively from home and travel very little. IME, WFH means lots of travel, which sucks. I'm an IT project manager in the healthcare sector. I began life as a nurse and weasled my way into the IT sphere.
WFH is good - no doubt about it, especially here in traffic-challenged Austin. You REALLY have to be self-motivated, though. I also rarely brush my teeth before 1.
IT guys that work from home. What is it exactly that you do workwise?
Make sure hackers aren't hacking the company?
As mentioned above, a job in tech. I do user experience design for a huge tech company. Over the last several years we are always in the top 10 list from Forbes best companies to work for. I work from home a few days every week. I used to do traditional graphic design, but this is much better. Great pay and benefits too.
