"If it's too much money maybe you should do burpees instead of complaining."
or maybe, if you and your weeping vagina are so upset by me making a simple observation that something is expensive, you should click on a different thread or block me.
"Todd isn't the one having a cry because something was more expensive that what he had hoped."
yes, obviously saying something is "retardedly, and prohibitively expensive" is the same as me wailing to the S&C Forum about how poor little old me can't afford it and it's Just Not Fair, or how I am organizing a Paypal donation scheme to pay for one for me since I am obviously in need of charity.
it couldn't merely be an simple fracking observation on the fact it's really freaking expensive, which I defy you to challenge, and the fact I am surprised it's 3k when most home machines aren't anywhere near that expensive.
what I can't figure, though, is if my "crying" is offending you two so much, why you continue to feed a thread I had no intention of posting to again until you started it back up, since I had already gotten the information I wanted, namely the general price and that it was out of my range right now.
you guys would have a real point about me whining if I kept posting and posting about how it's some kind of great tragedy I can't get one, or if I started posting crap about how the Versaclimber really sucks as some kind of Freudian mental defense against me not being able to get one...
but that is not the case, and I had pretty much moved on until YOU guys started whining.
you're the ones keeping the thread going right now, I'd just as soon drop it.
Wow thats quite the temper tantrum. Are you ever gonna stop crying about the price? I know you really want a Versa climber but you don't have to be a little crybaby about it just cause it's expensive.
Look, it does cost a lot to assemble a high-quality gym. Perhaps one
could gather a group of like-minded friends to chip in on the cost of one
unit that all could share...???
just looked at the versapulley. I have a poor mans version of it. Got it from a chechien wrestler. Get judo belt, and connect a thick stury piece of rubber/elastic to it, or bungee coard. Ty it to something. At the other end, you can make handles to it, with some rope, judo belt whatever.
Can do shoots, sprawls, puches, knees, pulls, judo throws etc. I believe fedor uses it in his training videos around the web.
I'm pretty sure the home models are ~$1900 and $2000 (w/ heartrate monitor). Still a lot of ca$h. You could get a C2 rower and an Airdyne and have another $500 to burn.
I got a really good deal on it in exchange for me making a training video for the company.
As far as getting 2 other pieces for the money you could spend on a Versaclimber, I wouldn't do it. I've tried virtually every single piece of equipment (or a poor man's version of it) and there is NOTHING that compares to the ass kicking the Versaclimber lays on you.
I know it looks cost prohibitive, but if you can afford it, GET IT. If you belong to a gym, bitch until they get one.
I did that at the last gym I worked at and also got a bunch of clients to "request" them. We went from having 1 to having 3. ;)
You kids keep it quiet back there or I'm turning this car around!
Seriously, we can all agree that the VC is very expensive and that just HOW expensive it is generally comes as a surprise to those not familiar with the pricetag already.
While I highly respect my friend SCRAPPER'S opinion in ALL things, I feel inclined to add that no one piece of equipment is irreplacable in one's training regimen. You can still be tremendously fit without one.
LMAO @ ROR. I agree with him completely 3K is fucking expensive and seems pretty ridiculous. I don't why some people are getting bent out of shape over him speaking the truth. I would really like a "Versaclimber", but I'm sure the hell not paying that kind of money for one (or atleast not any time soon).
