I think he is the owner/founder/head trainer at TriStar in Montreal...he is GSP's friend and coach. I think he is a Muay Thai fighter, can someone tell me more about his skills and achievements?
He's not the owner or founder of Tri Star. He has a black belt in bjj under John Danaher and fought amateur muay Thai.
He is a level 15 Jedi
He can kill a man with a toothpick....... Faster then benson!
He's the only guy who could beat GSP...
If you were to shave off his goatee, you wouldn't find a chin.... just another fist.

My bad. Is he the main coach? How would you compare his coaching vs Greg Jackson?
Conrad Plas founded Tri Star and is Zahabi's coach. Two guys I train with have spent a lot of time at Tri Star and say that Firas is militant in his coaching and very knowledgeable.
I don't know anyone personally that has trained with Greg Jackson so, I don't think I could make a solid comparison for you.
Thanks!
I became more interested in knowing more about Firas after watching "Fightland" on Vice.

im curious as well..he was coaching top level fighters specific bjj techniques
His Mma Bjj game and overall mma strategy and technique game is very legit. Nothing I can write is going to do him justice .
I drive over 10 hrs from sometimes to train up there for a week or two.
People don't travel up there because its a " super camp" , they go for the quality of training and knowledge that's handed out.
B-Rog
.
Zahabi has inside jokes with complete strangers.
He is not good at Bjj, wrestling, and Thai, he is REALLY good at all of them. In my opinion, he is the best overall MMA coach in the game.
john joe -BendosBaptisedBitch - he's no Andy Sauer
Andy Souwer is no Andy Sauer either
Lol

Yuuup
People won't understand unless they've spent time training with him...
Best coach in the game, super skilled in all disciplines plus their applications to MMA.
overEZ - Thanks!

That Fightland series is very well done.
Here's my article on Firas and how Tristar came about.

MM-eh nice article! thanks!
I rolled with him once when he came to town, without really knowing who he was, exactly. He's very well rounded.
