How to escape the "seat belt" back control

Not the best place to be, for sure, but here's the method that works best for me:

Why can't you just fall to your left side and do the normal escape where you try to put your back parallel to the ground?
I do it all the time from the collar choke over/under grip.

Against someone with great back control, it's not going to work to just disregard the underhooking grip.  If they're doing their job (at least in my experience), you won't be able to just pretend like they're not underhooking your arm there, because they'll be able to follow you with chest on back control.
