How to extract images from Powerpoint presentation

Today, someone sent me a Powerpoint presentation that had some amazing photos in it. She commented that she did not know how to extract the images, so I did a quick Google search and found the answer. I decided to share with my OG bretheren.

Here is one way to do it:

Suppose the name of your slideshow is MySlideShow.ppsm

1) Make a copy of you file... just in case. :)

2) Right-click your file, and save it as a .html file.
(right click) -> Save As -> add ".html" to the end of "MySlideShow" -> Save
This will create a file called "MySlideShow.html.ppsm"

3) Right click on "MySlideShow.html.ppsm" and open it with Microsoft Office Powerpoint.

4) Edit -> Select All
This will highlight all of the slides

5) File -> Save As
In the "Save as type" box, select "JPEG File Interchange Format (*.jpg)", and Save

6) When the option comes up, select "Every Slide". This will create a new folder called "MySlideShow.html" and save all of the slides there as .jpg images.

7) Post "Caption this pic" images to The OG. :)
