Beat career mode, it'll unlock your right to play career mode on ultimate mode. Play on ultimate mode and play against the easiest competition for as long as possible building up your stats. Don't move to the upper level of the UFC until your atleast an 85 overall rating . Make a stand up fighter because the comp is amazing at the ground game. Be smart building your stats so u don't get and decaying stats n shit. By the end of the career mode my guy was a 98 overall but it could of been higher if I didn't have 8 losses.
Fuck.. I gotta beat the game.. Twice?? Don't got time for that ish homie
any razor thin decisions? That makes it fun for me, if its competitive like real mma. I hate having to go easy on the CPU to make my career mode more realistic.
how do you guys handle the training and the stats? it seems like with the game plans with the negative statistics sets me back, then i go and try and raise those stats that were dropped and it seems like a cycle of fail, and my guy's undefeated

No on ultimate mode. I either got the 1st ko or got submitted on ground. I didn't play it on sim mode. I highly recommend sim mode for realistic, I just did default mode so I could finish fights quicker because I was just trying to finish the career quick .

What difficulty u use? I never use gameplans , I just work to raise my stats as efficiently as possible
Ultimate sim mode, and if you're good enough get rocked in the beginning of the fight and win(to get fotn). I got about 40k cred towards the end per fight. Plus a fight and fighter of the year bonus for 17k cred at the end of every year.

They only give you a temporary stat boost. Never use gameplan IMO.
Gameplans are worthless

If you stay within the parameters of your gameplan, part of those stat boosts become permanent. The bad part is that the same is true for the stats it negatively impacts.
I just retired Bob Sapp as the UFC HW champ. Trained mostly on standup but learned enough TD defense and GNP to use it if I had to. Finished with a 98 overall.
