We’re talking a division where Carla Esparza is a world class fighter. Nothing against Esparza.. but Dern has a greater skill set than her already and they are letting her develop... then at 125lb everyone slobbers over Ostovich, but she’s “ok” probably not better than Dern... and Sarj is 2-2 and if she wouldn’t have missed weight, would be the flyweight champion.

I hope they don't push her too hard to start with. A couple of years building, and she could go really far. I'd bet there's some really exciting finishes in the UFC. But as she gets closer to the top, of course things will get harder for her.
They are going to build her up slowly and she will probably end up doing well in the division because of it.

To be a grappler right now, especially jiu-jitsu you need crazy cardio. Like Maia at his best. Even in the loss he tried to take Woodley down, what, 28-30 times? She needs to fight like Cain and Habib, but she hasn't shown that yet.
If they're smart they won't match her with a striker. But, she could still wear down from stuffed takedowns and lose a boring decision to a nobody without a big step up in conditioning.
