Gomi endures his first loss in PRIDE come NYE.
I'm going with Mach here. He looks sharp in the standup, and I think he'll just be too strong for Gomi.
As mentioned, Mach's got those kicks to the lead leg. He didnt really get too many off on Hansen though like he did Jens. Gomi can also switch stances. I'd also agree that Gomi's hands probably look better right about now but dont forget Mach has good 1 punch KO or at least knockdown power in his hands too. He knocked down Trigg with one punch and he did to Hansen aswell (twice?).
They both also have pretty hard chins, 2 of the best at that weight i might guess.
Gomi tries to dominate Sakurai as he did with everyone else, and relizes he can't do that.
He fight Valiantly and looses decision.

Gomi has the best chin in the sport, but he has been knocked down once by Takuya Kuwabara from a kick to the head (Gomi then went on to beat Kuwabara by decision that made Griffin/Bonner look like Gonzaga/Jordan.
Gomi should pull off the win against Sakurai. Sakurai is a bit of a slow starter and it more than likley will hurt him against Gomi.
Both have very solid chins (Gomi even more so) Gomi is the better puncher and wrestler, Sakurai's the better with kicks and submissions. I think you will see Gomi stop Sakurai late in the fight. Ive been a HUGE fan of both of these guys for a while, but I have a gut feeling that Gomi will take this one.

Gomi's weakness is aggression and a top notch ground game. Really, if you pull a Fedor-Crocop on him: constant pressure on the feet, don't let him set up, and then make him fear the takedown and subs/gnp, then you can win. As good as Sakurai looked in the GP, I dont think he can impose that kind of will on Gomi.

Gonna be an awesome fight, I am gonna go with Mach in an upset. His standup looked incredibly sharp against Jens and Joachim, while Gomi may have more one punch KO power I think Sakurai is more skilled on the feet.
Either way it is going to be a great fight.
