I don't think that he could.
Askren doesn't mind being put on his butt because he finds ways to scramble out from there. If memory serves, Jake Herbert got in on Askren with power shots often and Askren funked all of them to end up on top.
Someone alluded to it earlier, but Askren is the one of the only fighters I've ever seen drop to his butt to hit an offensive takedown. His problem against GSP is that the jab would keep him at bay.
