How would you arrange the UFC HWs?

Sylvia vs. Nog is next, and this makes the most sense for the interim title.

However, Werdum is supposedly getting the next shot at those two guys. I don't think this makes any sense. He has been recently defeated by a former champion, Arlovski, so why isnt Arlovski in the equation?

If I'm the UFC, I tell Arlovski he gets a title shot if he beats Jake O'Brien, and I pray that Sylvia doesn't beat Nog. If he wins, he'll have three quality wins in a row against Pe de Pano, Werdum, and O'Brien, and he'll deserve the shot. I'll make him re-sign for multiple fights, of course, so he doesnt hold the belt hostage, but that's an easy way to get him to re-sign with the UFC. If he loses, its much trickier, but if he wins, he deserves the next title shot.

Werdum is a good fighter, and is working his way up, but if he gets a shot before AA it's unfair. I realize we might be seeing Big Tim v. AA #4, but what do you do with a guy who beats absolutely everyone but one person? AA is undefeated since mid-2002 to everyone not named sylvia. He's earned another shot imo, with a win.

I think Werdum should be fighting Cheick Kongo. Werdum and Kongo are both climbing the UFC HW ladder. Kongo, for all his weak points, is 4-1 in the UFC and it's time for him to face a great grappler. The winner of this fight will be getting a title shot if AA loses, or will get the next shot if AA wins. Werdum needs at least one more fight to deserve a title shot, and Kongo finally gets to prove himself against a legit grappler.

I'm not quite sure what to do with Cro Cop and Gonzaga, to be honest. I guess feed them both cans? Let them fight some low level guys, as an indicator of where they are. Cro Cop needs some of his mystique back, and GG needs a gas tank. I don't think anything else makes sense.

Nog/Sylvia, AA/O'brien, Werdum/Kongo comes first. Also Mir/Lesnar.

Next, the Nog/Sylvia loser fights Mir/Lesnar winner. I think this is a solid next step for whomever wins this fight. AA(if he wins) or Werdum/Kongo fights the winner of Tim/Nog.

HW are boring I dont even pay attention anymore...

I cant explain the whole Arlovski/Werdum situation.

Good Post Danny Ocean; the big question mark is Arlovski, is he getting his walking papers win or lose his next fight? The UFC put him on ice for 9 months since his last win/fight over Werdum. I agree with everything you said, although AA is the big X-Factor in the equation. I for one will not be unhappy if AA doesn't re sign after his last contractual fight with the UFC; just one more possible foe for Fedor imo.

what would you do with these guys?

The biggest names in the division not currently fighting for the title, and with a chance to have a big win are

AA, Werdum, Kongo, Mir, Lesnar.

After that, guys who are coming off a loss, or are only 2nd tier are

Cro Cop, Gonzaga, Vera, maybe Eddie Sanchez (3-1 in UFC),

flyingknees,

I put them in that bracket because the winner of that matchup will be in the "first tier". The UFC will automatically do it anyways, so we might as well acknowledge it's going to happen. The loser is probably going to the 2nd/3rd tier. But the winner of Mir/Lesnar is without a doubt going to be fighting a big name after their victory.

Don't forget about Vera.

aint it herring and Kongo next?!?!?!

they want Lesnar for sure, ...AFTER the laser removal surgery, of course

lol Cro Cop and lesnar does seem to be ultimate "style RAPE" Can you think of two guys more obvious for a glaring style matchup?

OverandOut, i put Vera as a 2nd tier HW. He's coming off a loss and he might drop to LHW. I can't really think of a great matchup for him right now, maybe put him against a guy like Eddie Sanchez or someone similar.

Cro Cop and Gonzaga are really hard. I'd just feed them cans or UFC newbs to get the confidence and fan interest back up. If they win, great, if they lose, you can be done with them.

I do think Herring/Kongo has been planned, which i don't like. Herring hasn't looked all that great of late, and Kongo is 4-1 in the big show. I would also much rather see Kongo finally face a grappler, instead of another striker. He's going to have to at some point.

Werdum will probably get the next shot over AA, which i don't like. Keep AA by giving him a title shot, it's that easy guys. But what do the fans know...

"Cro Cop and Gonzaga are really hard."

It'd be more exciting if they signed Fedor and Aleksander E. , Josh Barnett, Antonio Silva .... I'd even like to see Ben Rothwell mixing it up.

Hell yeah .... get them all .... I'm greedy!
