the 3 guys he beat to put himself back in the spotlight were guys that were either too old ( renzo ) ..... too small ( serra ) .... never were ( almeida ) ...
with all due respect to hughes and the 3 great guys mentioned ..... if u could get Liddell 3 fighters who can not punch a lick and couldnt take him down > he would get on a streak , i guaruntee!
FOR sure if the UFC can make money off ur name ( nothing wrong with that ) ... even a fighter who's past his prime can get the RIGHT MATCHUPS for their style , to get on a win streak...

Hughes is a wrestler who can't really wrestle anymore. When forced to rely on his subpar standup against elite fighter, well...he ends up staring at the lights 20 seconds in.

I meant who fits the bill as far as WWs Hughes can beat. I'm thinking he might still be able to use his wrestling to beat guys like Dan Hardy.
The thing is that there are many MMA fans who were blindly fooled by this match making practice and actually believed Hughes was a force and in some cases, completely fooled fans even called this version of Hughes the very best version that they've seen.

my point of the thread isnt that these guys he beat arent good .... its that they are the correct style matchups he needs to win .... the better odds for his style / skillset matchup . if he continued or continues to get those kind of matchups , i feel he has much better odds to get on another win streak .

Hughes was just slow, BJ Penn threw 3 punches while Hughes was still dodging the first...his reflexes are slower under pressure now and thats it.
