“HUMAN CENTIPEDE 3″ Gets Official Release Date and Synopsis!
Will the third HUMAN CENTIPEDE film truly be the “FINAL SEQUENCE”? With Tom Six’s first HUMAN CENTIPEDE film going from controversial festival fave to a legitimate pop culture phenomenon, the franchise has amassed a giant following, many of whom take each proceeding film as a litmus test for their visceral endurance. So when Tom Six claims that his vision will end with HUMAN CENTIPEDE 3: FINAL SEQUENCE, there’s a grain of salt that should be taken with said subtitle. Yet for a series that takes such pride in raising the bar of bad taste, perhaps HUMAN CENTIPEDE 3 will be untoppable for Six, and we’ll find out for ourselves soon as Entertainment Weekly has released the synopsis and release date for the third and supposedly last chapter in the HUMAN CENTIPEDE saga.
Starring series vets Laurence R. Harvey and Dieter Laser as well as Eric Roberts, Tiny Lister, Robert LaSardo and Bree Olson, the official synopsis for THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 3: FINAL SEQUENCE is as follows:
Bully prison warden Bill Boss (Dieter Laser), leading a big state prison in the US of A, has a lot of problems; his prison statistically has the highest amount of prison riots, medical costs and staff turnover in the country. But foremost he is unable to get the respect he thinks he deserves from his inmates and the state Governor (Eric Roberts). He constantly fails in experimenting with different ideas for the ideal punishment to get the inmates in line, which drives him, together with the sizzling heat, completely insane. Under threats of termination by the Governor, his loyal right hand man Dwight (Laurence R Harvey) comes up with a brilliant idea. A revolutionary idea which could change the American prison system for good and save billions of dollars. An idea based on the notorious Human Centipede movies, that will literally and figuratively get the inmates on their knees, creating the ultimate punishment and deterrent for anyone considering a life of crime. Having nothing to lose, Bill and Dwight create a jaw-dropping 500-person prison centipede.
If you’re one of the many clamoring for another stomach-turning outing in the HUMAN CENTIPEDE universe, the good news is that you won’t have to wait much longer: IFC Midnight will be giving the FINAL SEQUENCE a day-and-date limited theatrical / VOD release on May 22nd.
