1st round against TECHOV from LTU. Taraje scored a yuko with Kata Garuma. A little later in the match Taraje attempted drop seionage at which point TECHOV stop and countered Taraje for ippon. TECHOV lost next round eliminating Murray from competition

66 kg: Alex Ottiano, Lawrence, Mass.
1st Round against URODA from Croatia. Alex won by Juji-gatame for ippon.
2nd Round against NEU from Hungary. Alex won by yuko with Ouchi-Gari
3rd Round against Warren from GBR. Alex lost by 2 yukos
Repecharge
4th Round against Terai from Japan. Alex won by ippon countering Terai Ouchi-Gari in the final 10 seconds of the match.
5th Round against Pitkanen from Finland. Alex won by ippon with Ouchi to Tai-toshi combination.
Bronze Medal match
Against Krnac from Slovakia. Alex lost by ippon. Krnac countered Ottianoâ¬"s Ouchi Gari
Alex fought very well.



73 kg: Jimmy Pedro, Lawrence, Mass.
1st round against Thiblin from Norway. Jimmy won by ippon
2nd Round against Kevkhishivili from Georgia. (silver medal in Paris open). Pedro scored wazari with sumi-gaeshi then another wazari with Ouchi Gari giving Pedro the ippon.
3rd Round against Savinov from UKR. Pedro pinned Savinov first 45 seconds of the match for ippon.
4th Round against Aivazian from Russia. Jimmy scored 4 kokas to win the match putting him into the finals.
Gold Medal Match
Against Bilodid from Ukraine. Jimmy lost by Wazari with Te-guruma

Jimmy won the silver and had an excellent day!

Rick lost in a tough fight was down by 2 shidos (questionable calls) and then had his ouchi-gari countered for ippon towards the end of the match trying to come from behind. The Russian lost to UKR and eliminated Rick
