If Sakuraba had gotten the decision over Vovchanchyn...
And Coleman had to fight a healthy Fujita and won by decision...
Who wouldve won in the final between Sakuraba and Coleman?
Anyone?
This was the days of REAL mma folks.
Coleman still would've won.
I love sak, but he was so fucking tired after that 96 min. war with royce.
but i dont' think sak would've been finished though. he would've just gotten layed and prayed.
EVILYOSHIDA - Coleman still would've won.

Coleman started to gas against Igor though, you dont think maybe going the distance w/Fujita mighta worn Coleman out?
Plus EY,dont forget there was no time limit in the finals.
oh . missed the part where coleman beats fujita by decision. that would've been a hard fought war for coleman as well.
it would be an even fight with those parameters.
i think sak could've scored a kneebar or some kind of leglock.
and a gassed marc coleman has no power, but still has incredible size relative to sak. enough to hold sak down for a lay n' pray.
it's a 50/50 fight IMO.
Sak would have either won brilliantly, or lost horrifically IMO. Most likely the latter; this is prime Coleman we're talking about here. I also choose to think that any of the fights were fixed lol.
Or,what if Fujita had stepped out like he should have, and Vanderlei stepped in as the alt.vs. Coleman?
*none
none of the fights were fixed in the 2000 gp besides takada/royce. takada held onto royce's gi for 20 min. to ensure
1) that royce does not get injured
2) royce is guaranteed to have a match with sak in the final round.
one of the most obvious fixes in mma history if there ever was one.
i totally believe royce would've won regardless, but the way takada did it ensured that Royce would make it through to the next round injury free.
Wanderlei vs Coleman would have been interesting, I'd've still bet on Coleman though.
i think you should've added that sak finished royce by kneebar, in which he almost did, but then the round ended.
that would've only made it like a 30 min. fight or so.
going from that, I believe Sak would've submitted coleman.
wow those were amazing days. thanks for reminding me.
modern mma (UFC) is KURAPPU!
none of the excitement, and it's so sterile.
As another possible "what if" then how about we say all matches were tournament format....
