From everything I've seen, there's not a much quicker way to stop a fight then telling the ref you can't see. It's the equivalent of saying you don't want to continue.

They didn't really work on it. Doc just wiped it so he could examine it. Still more aid then he should have gotten everything considered.

He didn't call a time out. On the break, he told the ref he couldn't see. And the ref called the timeout.
