I do not like the 145 and below weight divisions

This is not meant to be a disrespectful post regarding the 145 and below weight division, but I do have a bit of grievance to air.

I am not sure if it is just me and the group I talk mma about, but we do not get as excited for the smaller weight classes and now that Zuffa has announced the introduction of TWO more smaller weight classes, its going to create total boredom.

When the smaller guys fight, its like "Point" MMA fighting. I know that the rebuttal is going to be that they have "speed" and an "endless gas tank," but if the fights never end in a submission or knockout, it takes the element of excitement out of it.

I know that everyone is going to say that look at all of the exciting prelim fights for this season's Ultimate fighter, but that was a case of gold fish vs sharks and as they weed out the mediocre fighters, all of the fights will become stalemates and go to decision.

Look at all of the superstars of these divisions: Uriah Faber, Jose Aldo, Dominick Cruz. Once they got into the UFC and started to fight elite competition, all of their fights went to decision. I am not saying that their fights are "Fitches," but they are way too technical with no power.

Now they are going to start the 115 and 125 division? I hate to say it but it does not interest me at all.

You should be banned for this. sigh.

All of those elite fighters were fighting each other in the WEC before they came to the UFC. The only thing that has changed (other than the overall skill level) is the banner they fight under.

The number of exciting fights/finishes will far outweigh any potentially boring matches.

Alot of fat fucks do not like the lighter fighters for some reason....

They are not adding 115. & if you don't like watching them fight, don't watch.

So just becuase theres no knockout or submission makes kt a boring fight .... Wow so u rather watch two 265 guys gas in 2 mins and press up against the cage for 15 mins ... Sad : smallers guys =endless action Phone Post

STFU op

no one cares what you or your just bleed friends think, if you want to watch obese, untalented, slowpaced people "fight" where usually one just rolls over an turtles up mid second round then go ahead.

just cause you've realized you can get beatup by 5'2'' 125 lbers doesn't mean you need to vent about it.

your fat aren't you?

the lighter weights are much more exciting outside of the ufc, just saying

if i had to chose between a 145 division and a heavyweight division i'd take the 45'ers, no questions, its seriously not even close

That really sucks for you Phone Post

So your saying 125# fights are boredom to you and your friends... Which 125# did u guys watch??? Seriously I'm curious before you label the flyweights which flyweight Mma fight you've actually SEEN that was boring. Maybe you have maybe you haven't but thats my mofo'n division!!!!! You either ain't watch any fights or you watched the wrong ones!!!! Phone Post

Ian, the dude clearly has no fucking idea what he's talking about. The guy listed fucking Faber, Aldo and Cruz as boring fighters. The kid's gone full retard and has never seen the CreepShow in all it's glory.

an btw i would take most top BWs (cruz, benavidez, MM, faber) against joey beltran and other mid tier ufc HWs, p4p least talented division world wide.

OP- I will not flame you as I somewhat see where you are coming from.

I enjoy watching these divisions as they are incredibly technical and fast paced. However I like to watch the heavier weight classes as there are more true one punch KOs from nowhere and it makes for more unpredictable fights. It seems as if its easier for a HW fighter to pull a W from nowhere in comparison to lighter divisions. Its not that these don't happen in lighter divisions but that they simply aren't as frequent. Each viewpoint has its pros and cons and contributes to the overall success of MMA. To each his own.

If you haven't already, go and watch some events live and up close. I especially love to watch the lighter weight boxing matches. MMA is good as well but I favor watching the smaller division boxing in person. That is what really gave me more appreciation for the "small guys". They are so fast and so technical it is hard to not give them a ton of respect. Phone Post

155 and 205 are stacked so they are the funnest divisions.

The problem with 135, 145, 170, and 185 (kind of) is the disparity in talent between #1 and the rest. The same sort of holds true for 185 except for Chael can actually give Anderson a run for his money.

I know, all the "fat fucks" don't like midget fighting, but seriously, it's hard to watch these little fuckers try to be tough. Most just bounce around and pitter patter their opponents.

Sorry guys, but you have NO power and your fights generally look like a seizure of some sort.

This is not a troll thread. If you have the ability to see my previous posts, you will see that. How can you say that the smaller weight classes are exciting?

If you are wanting to prove me wrong, then honestly answer this question.

Name a fight from those two division that could headline an UFC and generate more pay per views buys then:

Heavyweight headliner: Overeem vs Lesner
Lightheavy weight headliner Jones vs Evans
Middleweight headliner Silva vs Sonnen
Welterweight headliner St Pierre vs Diaz
Lightweight headliner Edgar vs Melendez

Honestly, can you make a fight from those two weight division that would garner the UG's attention more then any of the fights that I have mention? If you say you could, then you are the troll and delusional.

Arachnoid - I know, all the "fat fucks" don't like midget fighting, but seriously, it's hard to watch these little fuckers try to be tough. Most just bounce around and pitter patter their opponents.

Sorry guys, but you have NO power and your fights generally look like a seizure of some sort.

Damn it, why cant we all be as tough as you mentally and physically, I am jealous. Phone Post
