I forgot about the ASS BEATING, thanks GSP.

Thanks GSP for reminding me.

Naseem Hamed's highlight reel is one of the most spectacular and awesome things to watch.

The guy could have been bigger than Ali but got lazy and just relied solely upon his power.

edit: But its kinda ironic that GSP got to beat his own Naseem in BJ Penn.

never knew he was a Barrera fan, Barrera is one of my favorites for sure.

he definitely sonned Prince Naseem, that was a great fight, I made a lot of money off that.

the Barrera/Morales fights were legendary. Mexico City vs Tijuana mayhem.

Even if you're not a boxing fan, I highly recommend everyone to watch it

WTF?!?!?!?

what planet are you from?

so wrong on every level.

lol @ bigger than Ali

lol @ the reason he didn't was cause he got lazy

Naseem's appeal was his ability to hype his fights and his hot dog shit. that all became irrelevant once people realized he didn't have the skills to beat any top level guys...like Barrera.

and there's nothing ironic about it at all. I don't see how there's any parallel in the universe to GSP/BJ and Barrera/Hamed. at all. whatsoever.

you're just so wrong on every level it's mind-blowing.

then again your screen-name is Bisping Fan, so, it's not too surprising. you're obviously delusional like the rest of them...and from the UK just like Naseem.

Take...a fucking...chill pill.

Naseem Hamed fought under Brendan Ingle and used his system of fighting. Its very effective and Naz grew up in the gym since 7 years old learning this style of fighting.

By the time Naz was calling out Barrera and Morales, he was fighting under Manny Steward who was trying to change Naseem's style. If you watch the run up to the fight, Steward confesses that he is concerned with the amount of shots Naseem was being hit with and he was even knocked down a few times.

Naz stopped being so elusive and was getting hit too much. He was relying solely on his power (see the Augie Sanchez fight where hes struggling then just managed to nail Sanchez with a stunning 3 punch combo that puts him to sleep.

And BJ Penn/Naseem Hamed are alike because of the amount of crap that they talk. GSP was able to shut Penn up and Barrera was able to finally shut Naseem up.

But obviously somebody as smart as you who is able to generalise a whole country of people based on their nationalisty knows a lot more...

And "Bigger than Ali" is a term that Brendan Ingle used that became pretty famous. Steve Bunce also said he believes that Naseem Hamed is the best British boxer that ever lived and he could have been bigger than Ali.

It's just a personal opinion.

Naseem never beat any top guys. He was incredibly fast and flashy enough to make journeymen look like fools but Barrera handled him easily and guys like Moralez, Paquaio, and Marquez would have done the same or worse if Naz had continued his career.

+1^ "bigger than ali...?".thats a bold statement.

except the one against Barrera of course.

Hamed had a ton of raw talent, up there with some of the greats of all time. His fighting style is nearly impossible to pull off for anyone else, but he did it and became one of the most exciting fighters to watch for a long time. People love to hate on the guy because of his arrogance and the way he left the sport, but he really was one hell of a good boxer.

he had ali's mouth but couldn't back it up. never liked that guy.

Naseem was the 100th best fighter from England of all time!

LOL Naseem had great reflexes like an Ali or Roy Jones but to say he could have been bigger Ali is a stretch. Coulda, shoulda, woulda.

That's a clip of the video we did with George after his fight. Almost forgot about that.
