I GOT ROBBED IN COLORADO . . .

from Ira:

My pro record is 1-1-1, it should be 2 wins 0 loses 1 draw... I don't want to come off as a whiner but I feel that I had to share this to serve as a heads up to all promoters looking to hire refs. DO NOT HIRE JEROME LOCKE. I hope he gets kicked in the nuts and dies of shock the next time he steps in the ring to ref... I was told that my request for a no contest was denied by boxing commisioner Josef Masin, who believed the ref made a sound decision to bring a stop to the bout. The ref's reason for stopping it was that Noah and I were in danger of falling out of the ring. Later, I was told by a very reliable source, that one of the organizers of the event had a money bet against me (Hmmm). I mean no disrespect against my opponent Noah Wiley who is a proven warrior in the ring. Here is a link to our fight, I would like to know everyone's opinion. Should it have been a win or remain a blemish on my record?

Cheers,

Ira "Hurricane" Boyd

umm...either you posted the wrong video or else I have no idea what you are talking about.

right video . . .

the ref jumped in and stopped the fight as the white dude was knocked out of the ring with a punch . . . tackled Ira and threw him into the ropes, fucking Ira's ankle up and forcing him to retire at the beginning of the second round.

so the ref did what he was suppose to do (stopping the bout when a fighter goes out of the ring) and accidentaly injured Ira? Shit happens. Not much you can do. If Ira had stopped fighting then b/c of the injury, he might have gotten a no contest. but he continued on. So then there's nothing you can do really.

I kinda doubt the ref's intentions while stepping in where "fuck Ira over"

I am lost...

Move on with your career and stop having friends make whining UG threads, Hurricane.

Dude ref did his job, its the boxing commisioner you should have your beef with. If the ref injured the fighter it should be a NC. Probably got screwed out of that since you continued on fighting. Sorry to say it bro but Jerome came in with honest intentions just happened to fuck up pretty bad.

hey guys we have bandwidth issue, but please email me at mikeval303@hotmail.com and I will send you the video so you can watch it.

sorry for the inconvenience

sorry for the incovenience, but please take a moment to do so and watch the video.

I hear ya man.

I lost my wallet in El Segundo.

I'm friends with Jerome and he has cornered for me and been a good training partner in the past. Jerome is an awesome fighter and former Kick Down Classic Champion (In two weight classes I believe).

Jerome had no malice toward Ira when he jumped in to stop the fight ( I have watched the fight numerous times on tape) he believed he was stopping a potentially bad situation and keeping both fighters safe.

Jerome understands MMA better than most people, but being a Ref is not an easy job and I believe that he goes out there looking to protect the fighters and keep the fights fair.

To say;

"I hope he gets kicked in the nuts and dies of shock the next time he steps in the ring to ref"

Is not only stupid and immature, but it's laughable because I've kicked him in the nuts plenty of times while sparring him and that fucker keeps coming....

Anyway, Jerome has only been Reffing for a short time so give the guy a break. (There are not a lot of Ref's to chose from out there).

John "Justice" Fabbricatore

Ira Boyd has a record for bad sportmanship and beligerant behavior in the ring.

Is he not the guy that punched a ref one time.  Did he not also refused to start on the ground one time when he was taken down adn the ref all he wanted to do was move them away from the ropes?

Ira has never punched a ref.

TTT  I support Jerome!

Carlao you are correct on those points

ttt for later.

Please email me the video at AML1107@hotmail.com.

edit

For those interested. Mike Valentine also started a THREAD in our hometown website in Ira Boyds behalf. Does not look like IRA is gaining any sympathy points there either.
