So I have had a problem for a few months because I feel like I get ripped off. My bill has been saying I am using over 3000 kwh during each month. I only have a small cooler and lights. 5000 square feet. I snuck a key to the meter yesterday at 5:40 and the meter read 537.6. I went and looked today at 3:40 and it read 543.2. So I have used about 6 kwh over the last day? Is that correct?
If you are concerned, call the electric company. Meters usually slow down if they are bad, but some have multipliers that are set up incorrectly. Other times they have malfunctioning remotes.
Billing clerks and meter shops deal with this all day every day and can get it figured out quickly. If they pull the meter they'll test it and could offer corrections based on state tariffs. 
You might consider getting a kill-a-watt meter to help you investigate.

It's a commercial meter right? They aren't always that simple. There are a number of different ways they bill large accounts. Time of use, demand, multipliers.
Get your landlord to call or ask him to give permission for you to discuss the account.
It's warehouse space. I have mats, a boxing ring and kickboxing area. 2 showers but they are used maybe 5 times a month. My electric bill is 300 a month

LOL, Because I am in a very rich town and the women in kickboxing are too good to take a shower here. The guys that do bjj at night drive 5 minutes home and take showers. I have like 2 guys that are 30 minutes or more away and they take showers.
Do you have one day a week where the gym is closed? Why don't you check the meter after a 24 hours period of no use and compare it with a 24 hour period of typical use?

You are also paying for the electricity for the parking lot and all the other things on the entire property. If he has vacant bays they can add that cost to the other tenants.
