so hopefully this is a refreshing point of view.
Fedor lost his last 3 fights. Not-a-bigger-deal than what people are making.
2 of Fedor's losses happened just seconds AFTER Fedor Dropped his opponent.
Fedor isn't getting dominated. In the 2nd rd against Bigfoot, that is his worst rd of his entire career. 1 bad round, and people are asking the question "should he retire"?
He isn't Chuck Liddel people. Fedor JUST got knocked out for the first time in his career, and it wasn't even a horrific knockout. just a flash ko. Chuck getting koed by Quinton in their 2nd fight was worse than this.
I shouldn't have to point out the accomplishments of Fedor, YOU ALL SHOULD KNOW THIS BY NOW.
It's DAN FUCKING HENDERSON YA'LL. How many other mma fighters have beatin Gilbert Yvel, Big Nog, AND Renato Babulu sobral....In the same night? Or obtained 2 belts in different weight classes for a Major promotion, at the same time?
Fedor doesn't seem slower. He doesn't seem weaker. It just seems that Fedor is getting caught and shit just happens. It goes both ways, and I'm sure Fedor has had a little bit of luck. For instance when Nog swept Fedor and had top position, but then the round ended.
I'm TIRED of all this retirement talk. He's barely 34yrs old, and just had only his 3rd career loss.
Why do so many people want to watch a legend, an ALWAYS EXCITING FIGHTER, never fight again? Why, if it's his fans than that's stupid.
Fedor was doing just fine against Dan and Werdum. Werdum actually practiced getting knocked down, being dizzy, and getting someone in your guard. Him and King Mo worked on that where they'd spin around, get dizzy, then Mo would take him down. Well, Fedor "dizzied" Werdum up with punches, Fedor followed him to the ground, and Fedor made a simple/minor mistake and left his arm there and didn't posture up fast enough. I mean, GEEZ, it's not like Werdum doesn't practice stuff like this his whole life.
Dan is a fucking olympic caliber greco roman wrestler. I've been watching mma for years, and I've NEVER seen someone throw and land such a punch in the position/scramble that Dan was in when he ended it. Bad move on Fedor? NO, GREAT MOVE on Dan Hendersons part. DO-NOT-FAULT-FEDOR, GIVE-CREDIT-TO-DAN
When you look at what Fedor has accomplished, compare how Fedor has looked in his losses, how many really feel that Fedor has nothing to offer in the fight game?
Sorry but losing to 6'4 265lbs after he cuts weight, is 15-2, doesn't make Fedor overrated or done for. I say, well, it's about time Fedor finally lost to someone who is highly skilled and much bigger. But I also say, But I still think Fedor can hang with the Best in the world and can win on any given night.
I love Fedor, I love many fighters. In my opinion, Rashad Evans has taken just as if not more punishment than Fedor has, but....Rashad isn't nearly as skilled, or exciting than Fedor has been and is. Give me Fedor vs Silva over Rashad/Thiago or Rashad/Jackson anyday. I like Rashad and he's a funny guy, nice guy, but his fighting style is boring. Fedor brings it, and it just so happens recently the fights haven't gone his way.
Lets appreciate the great fighters and realize that their skills aren't diminishing, it's just that they're still fighting top guys and when that happens, sometimes you get caught in a sub or by a punch.
D241 - Why do so many people want to watch a legend, an ALWAYS EXCITING FIGHTER, never fight again?
because it doesnt seem like he wants it anymore.
He doesn't have the hunger, he doesn't want to change or go out of his element.

Yes. His record doesn't back it, but what have you seen in his fights that are different? His stand up looks to be improving imo.
It's another one of those man fingering matbattle motherfuckers!!!!! Flush em out!!! The fuckin forum is crawling with em!!
