I was given a "Bug A Salt" gun as a gag gift and spent much of the weekend killing flies with it. For those not familiar with the TV ads, it shoots a load of salt, like a load of buckshot from a shotgun, using a blast of compressed air. You pump it by cocking the slide once. Much more satisfying than a swatter, plus you often get the satisfaction of seeing the fly flip off the table. Sometimes you just get a wing or a leg, and it tries to crawl away and you get to administer a close range coup-de-gras.
I only wish I could mount their little heads on trophy plaques.
Deeply, deeply satisfying! Great entertainment for family get togethers out on the patio.
