I am writing a paper in my english Comp class about the effects of Martial arts (mainly BJJ) on mental health. The paper is going good, the only problem is that I have to cite to sources, anyone got any Ideas. I have found a couple sources, but I don't know if they are legit enough to use in the paper. (yes, I know, I am using the UG as help doing my college homework, pretty sad, but I've ran low on ideas.)
Pubmed........Why didn't I use that before, Thanks for the step in the right direction.

You can cite anything as a source. E.g. if you email Eddie Bravo and he gives you some info, then you can just cite it as "Personal correspondence". The validity of the source comes from the authority of the person in question, not whether it was published in a book or not.
right, the only problem with that is, I don't know any BJJ guys with the reputation backing them that I could just shoot an email to and get a response from.
suppose, Pubmed didn't really have much of what I was looking for, so I need something.
ttt
two people? thats the extent of the helpful people in the UG these days?
What exactly are you discussing regarding the effects of bjj on mental health? If its for an English comp class, dont over think your premise too much. If you are trying to conduct a groundbreaking statistical study for an english comp class you are working way too hard. This is just my opinion, but i think you should narrow down your premise to something more specific like "How has being a member of the Gracie family influenced the life of_____________?" There are tons of articles, interviews, books, documentaries, etc. about that. If you make it something about "mental health" then you have to either conduct the study yourself, or hope that someone else has already done the research. Otherwise you run into exactly what your problem is. No source material. Dont try to reinvent the wheel.

Have you tried posting this in the Training Forums, particularly Atama BJJ forum?
