Tatiana Tognini - I used to compete a lot, stopped competing in 2001, I can't really complain, have a few medals..., so I wasn't too bad.. when me and Marcelo moved to Sao Paulo I had to work 10 hour a day so we could afford living in the city, so that's when my competing career had to stop, since then a couple of bad injuries kept me from competing, but I still train not as much as I wanted, but not really willing to give up training, no matter how painful it is sometimes!
WOW! I remember reading about you trianing back in Marcello's x-guard book, and sacrafices you two would make to train. HUGE respect for staying by your husband. Thanks for taking the time to reply back to me. God bless!
I wasnt going to say this, because everyone would make fun of me...
But Tatiana really is the best woman I have ever met in my life. You will not meet a nicer, more supportive, and loyal person.
The site is really awesome. The 70 videos of M.G sparring in class, the techniques, everything is really really cool. I look forward to seeing what else is added in the upcoming months. It's a great holiday gift also, if you have friends, family or anyone that you know that loves Bjj. I just got one for my brother and he's super excited!
I rarely, rarely post to the forums, but I did want to share that I recently did an interview with Marcelo and Josh (the creative mind behind MGinAction.com) that's available at http://thefightworkspodcast.com/. I think the approach they are taking to the site is unique and fascinating. In short, they are using concepts used to teach and develop world-class chess players and applying it to jiujitsu. Check it out. Big thank you to Tatiana for helping to set that up!
I signed up two days ago and can't believe at the resource of information it is. I actually used it to refine my understanding of the guillotine, which I hope to apply in practice tonight.

It was a good interview, I am extremely jealous that you guys get to train with Marcelo...
joshjitsu - thanks for the feedback. i actually don't train at his academy, but he was extremely generous with his time, opened his doors for me for the interview and invited me back to train at any time. a great example for all of us!
Is there any kind of actual format or is it more like lot of techniques and then you pick up anything you want to - meaning there is no real structure like core/beginner, medium, advanced etc. structure what to train and in what order.
