I remember when Shogun lost to Forrest. People basically spat all over him, despite the fact that he was injured and Forrest was likely abusing PEDs. But did that deter Shogun? No.
He came back light the legend he is, stronger than ever. Even when the world tried to conspire against him, he would prove everyone wrong. He beat too of the greatest of all time in Coleman and Chuck, but the UFC was hellbent on having Machida as champ. Did Shogun let the devastation of being robbed by corrupt judges stop him? No.
He came back and proved that he was the greatest of all time. And will he let this latest loss stop him? No. He will be back, and he will destroy Cormier and Jones and then all of his haters will have to admit that he is a modern MMA God.
great post. Shogun was truly one of a kind and it's such a shame he had so many injuries. A healthy Pride GP Shogun DESTROYS Jones who has terrible awful overrated striking.
Another fighter who brings to mind the greatness of Shogun is Conor. Conor haters are some of the most DELUSIONAL people I've ever encountered.
Conor is BY FAR the greatest standup fighter in MMA history. His lead hand probes, fients, angles, counters, traps, footwork, kicks, and use of the dominant outside angle make his presence in MMA UNPRECEDENTED. Just watch the Prior fight. It was a work of art on par with the Sistine Chapel.

Kimbo may have 'won' the fight but we all know Ken left with the moral victory and in some respects that is more important. At the end it looked like Ken pulled guard to avoid a slugfest but big John was obviously on the take.
