I am 5'10, 265lbs. and I was a varsity wrestler in high school. High school is over now and so is wrestling, I have a month left of Freestyle/Greco-Roman wrestling with my school's youth wrestling club. I will be attending college locally so I will be living at home. I needed a good place to train...and sambo seemed like a good sport for me to take up because of my wrestling backround. Starting in August I will begin training at Ultimate Sambo in Warwick, NY. The chief instructer there is Vladislav Koulikov who received his training at Sambo 70, which is one of the most prestigious Sambo Schools in Russia. I really look foward to training in sambo, not only do I plan on competing in sambo tournaments but submission wrestling tournaments as well.
Vlad and Yvonne were just down at my school this past weekend with some students. You will have great training with them...I guarantee it! I am sure we will meet at some point as well.
