...I hate doing this because EVERYBODY does this but, I wonder how well he'd do against Fedor?

Nelson is the upgraded model of Fedor ... this is apparent in the evolution of physique
Fedor had the right idea, but he can't possibly get fat enough to beat Roy Nelson
Nelson's gut>>>>Fedor's gut. That's all you have to know about this fight.
Nelson is not in the same class as fedor, he has had 2 great fights back to back and fedor has had 31..
buzzkill^
We can always dream
Ian Mccall - Nelson is not in the same class as fedor, he has had 2 great fights back to back and fedor has had 31..Fedor has been measured by Brett Rogers, people can't just rattle off his record anymore. Rogers did well up to a point and then got KO'd, but the fight was competitive. Stating that, I believe Nelson could provide just as much or more of a challenge.
nelson's overhand right had far more belly behind it. nelson by ko round 1.
Nelson by KO
Fedor wont't fight Nelson. Fedor only fights the best and is working on a rematch with Zulu Jr.

When I don't know anything about either guy, like tonight's TUF tryouts, my default pick is the dude with more facial/body hair.
I can't imagine what Nelson's daily caloric intake is. Think about it....he trains, and trains often (then when he has a fight, you know he steps it up a notch).
He must burn a TON of calories per day when he's not gearing up for a fight, and most definitely burns even more while training for a fight. One would think that he wouldn't have a belly. While genetics play a role in body shape (look at Fedor's shape), this isn't about genetics. This about going all out come meal time.
When you think about the amount of time he puts in daily rolling, and hitting the bag (and I assume lifting), the fact that he still has an amazing buddah is a testament to his diet.
I want to take him to a buffet and watch a master at his craft!
Oh, FTR, I am a huge Nelson fan....the thought just crossed my mind.
Great match up I'd love to see that.

Too bad the chances of that happening are slim.

not really,Fedor beat Brett rather easily

It wasn't THAT competitive. Sure Bret was MUCH bigger, heavier, and probably stronger w/ huge KO power...but the ONLY thing he did in that fight was land that opening jab which cut Fedor, but DID NOT phase him in the slightest...Other than some fence hugging and some glancing blows on the ground Brett did NOTHING except get tossed around like a ragdoll repeatedly, defend strikes/submissions, and finally geot BRUTALLY KO'd in the very beginning of the 2nd.
Nigga please.
yep he would wreck Rogers IMO
I love how people judge Fedor's fights. he does not allow for a feeling out phase. Fedor wades in and engages everyone...maybe not at a blistering pace but you never see a drawn out pawing match when he's in the ring. Often this mean his opponents go really hard in response...this is how Fedor feels out his opponents...and yeah he's willing to get hit to study his opponent. Then he knocks them the fuck out. It's his approach, he wins with it, don't understand why people always come back with "Fedor was losing everything right up until he brutally finished his opponent". It's like you people want MMA to be horseshoes. That whole fight was just a prelude to Brett getting knocked the fuck out. It wasn't a Fedor lucky punch...it was Fedor studying Brett's footwork and making sure he had it figured out. The second Fedor had Brett's range and tell worked out Brett hit the canvas.
lol man. People are fucking delusional on here or what? Rogers posed no threat to Fedor and he had 40lbs on him. If they were in a ring he would of ended it with an armbar far sooner with that retarded reckless attempt at GnP by rogers. Even the cut wasn't Rogers doing lol. It was already fucking there. Fedor was just being respectful giving Rogers props but when he is home. Him and his coaches were laughing all the way to the bank
Rogers would get demolished by anyone on that list and you can add Mir to it
