lots of problems that people have with the religion/science debate are not based on the bible, but on things the church has said or done or persecuted people if they did not believe "the church" and not necessarily the bible
the bible is not meant to be taken literally and has allegory and symbolism and whatever, but lots of fundamentalist nuts take it literally

I love how every thread about some fighter thanking God turns into at least 5 pages of debate as to which one is right, science or religion. Back to the topic.
No fighter will ever thank science or scientists for the new gym, improved weight lifting equipment, or the amazing new supplements they are taking without getting paid from the sponser. Jesus is the only one who gets a shout out without having to pay extra for it.
