I want to make beer. TMA

I got a Groupon for Christmas to make beer at You Brew It (Nor Cal). I had a great time, and loved the end result. I didn't really learn anything. The dude didn't slow down and explain shit, he just pointed and told me to pour shit, with no explanation.

I'm going back next weekend to do it again. After this, I think I want to get into actually brewing at home.

What learning resources would you recommend for an abolute beginner?

YouTube.

Start off with brewing extract kits. You can go to Northern Brewer or MoreBeer and get everything you need for a hundred bucks or so (kit & equipment). You can follow the instructions and make drinkable beer

If you want to learn about beer, good start is getting the book Tasting Beer

Thanks. I'll check it out.
