You’d be surprised how many adults defend JiuJitsu like it’s the greatest marital art ever for self defense. Then they will pose the stupidest question known to mankind “you don’t think Gordon Ryan would beat the average person in a street fight?” Or “My pro purple belt would do just fine in a street fight!”
Jiujitsu is a fun sport, its a fun exercise, but its no longer a martial art taught for fighting.
I do much prefer half naked men hitting each other in the head until one can’t stand up anymore.
Especially in Ding Dang (those guys don’t like to lose).

What I meant was: Of course one of the greatest will handle himself in an altercation. As well as a “pro”. But what about your skinny, average, 9-5er.
