Her mother was an international level judo player, and her coach was a multi-time Olympian. She surely knew that only judo players don't make money. Heck, aside from swimmers, gymnasts and track medalists, I doubt that any of them make money.

If Jordan Burroughs would have said that when he just won an actual Gold, people would have bastardized and tore him apart. He was proud of his medal, but never complained about not making $$$
