You should accept it as a sad truth.
AKA third place. Gold = first
It's quite sad. A great sacrifice to make.
The handshake is why it's worth it.
There are many things I'd do for a handshake.
So then pawn the gold and get into mixed mart...wait.

lmao great point, man
Not even a bronze. A bronze jr.
If you're going to the Olympics for money, and you're doing it wrong.
Didn't she know how it all works before she did it ?? Lucky she came home with a medal ( any colour ) most olympians don't get one , even if they are very good .
Her mother was an international level judo player, and her coach was a multi-time Olympian. She surely knew that only judo players don't make money. Heck, aside from swimmers, gymnasts and track medalists, I doubt that any of them make money.
If a former medalist wrestler or judoka that was a dude talked like this. They would get destroyed everywhere , is that a double standard ? Imagine some wrestler saying I put all this hard work in for a handshake ! It would be a nightmare for him , why not her ? Weird IMO
IIRC, this wasn't her just bitching. It was part of a response to someone asking her why she was living out of her car as an Olympic medalist.
She said this on her last PRIMETIME show (versus Carmouche).
Did she really say 'gold'?
Around 3;28 in episode one of the prime time show. She did not not mention gold at all. Fabricated troll post. Nothing to see here.
Bucephalus - Did she really say 'gold'?
No, but the $10k and handshake part. Sorry, I assumed she won a gold medal because of her badassery as of late.

Nothing to see but your immaturity.

If Jordan Burroughs would have said that when he just won an actual Gold, people would have bastardized and tore him apart. He was proud of his medal, but never complained about not making $$$
