Ian Entwistle set to be international superstar?

I'm sorry but the lightweight division isn't going to know what's hit it pretty soon once Ian Entwistle starts making waves around the world. With a record of 4-0 it might be too early to start proclaiming world dominance but for me this guy has the makings of a major star.

This guy is a whirlwind dynamo of a fighter, he comes out swinging from the opening bell and usually makes short work of whoever is infront of him. The most vicious leg kicks this side of Pat Barry, and a wild heavy-handed stand up game that while it lacks a little refinement, is very capable of putting anybody to sleep. He seems to have a solid wrestling ability that will no doubt improve to even better standards over the next year or so but most importantly he possesses a ground game that no-one has yet been able to figure out. Very offensively minded and not afraid to lose position in order to pull something off. Like a more violent George Sotiropoulos in many ways.

Not only that but this man has a personality that you can't help but love. Not afraid to speak his mind, Entwistle is already showing he knows how to make people care about his fights and you can bet he'll have everybody talking about him as soon as they hear him for the first time. He may be a little un-PC, but this is the fight game, not cricket.

He has a big grudge rematch coming up next month against Brad Wheeler after Entwistle won by DQ after illegal strikes on a Cage Warriors card a few weeks ago. Perhaps my most anticipated UK fight this summer after Jimi Manuwa's return to action.

A few wins after that and there will be enough buzz about this man that people around the world will start noticing. The future is bright for Ian Entwistle. Might be too soon to start throwing around world champ claims but you never know...

PUTTING ACCRINGTON ON THE MAP

.

I love how the commentators just call Entwistle's opponent 'the Spanish guy' ha!

This kid looks like dynamite. Saw some of his fights on Youtube. Vicious.

Entwistle looks like a good prospect...      I will be following his career closely.

WAR ENTWISTLE!!

Absolutely mate, the guy is a savage. I haven't seen leg kicks like this for a while

I guess he might have a slight height disadvantage to many fighters at LW but it hasn't been too much of a problem so far.

Pretty much everybody who is anybody in UK MMA has fought on CW, Ian Enwhistle is definity one to keep an eye on.

Did anybody see Shane Omar KO Aaron Wilkinson from TUF on BAMMA a few weeks ago?  Another UK fighter destined for big things currently at 7-0.

Yeah I saw that mate, Omar has great boxing fundamentals, i'm interested to see where he goes, could do big things.

As for Entwistle, next month is really important for him. If he gets past Wheeler and can then get a fight with Mick Bowman I don't think he'd have much trouble taking care of him and then he's on the fringe of being one the most notable lightweights in the UK and with his personality people are going to start taking notice at home and in the US.

he needs a more British-sounding name, when I hear "Ian Entwhistle" all I can think of is spaghetti, meatballs, and philly cheese-steaks Phone Post
