IBJJF Middle weights, what size Gi do you wear?

Just wondering what size gi's most middle weight competitors (167.5-181 w/Gi on) are wearing. Phone Post

im 5'10" compete at middle weight, i always wear A2. if i put an A2 in the dryer it wont fit. i think koral has the biggest A2.

A3 Phone Post

I'm 5'8 and wear an A2 competition gi. It fits perfectly as long as it doesn't shrink at all. I wash it cold and hang dry. I keep it for comps only, not for daily training. Phone Post

I fluctuate between leve and medio. 6'1/6'2 170lbs right now. I wear an A2 or A3 depending on the gi brand. My current favourite gi is a shoyoroll A2. It's the best fitting I have, but if I ever get close to 180lbs, it's a tad small.

I think I am to small for middle, I wear an A1 and it fits me perfectly.

It sucks because I have a dense build but I'm not a tall, or particularly big guy either. Looks like I gotta start dieting.

Oh yeah, A1 middle? You should drop. Phone Post

Atama A3 is too big

Gameness Pearl A2 was good for a while but eventually shrank.

Shoyoroll A2 is like it was custom made for me.

5'11" @ 74-79kg

For a middle, a Koral A2 or Shoyoroll A2 will be fine. Phone Post

Albino y Preto as well (if you can get it) Phone Post

A3 are just a little short for me. I wear an A4 that fits my length perfect but can be a little baggy in the chest (6'1 & 184lbs I cut weight to make middle though) Phone Post

Marcelo Garcia:

5'7" - 5'8"

175-185lbs

Wears A2 (A3 in Fuji - they make his current "signature" gi).

He dries his gi on high heat after machine washing it.

183 cm 81 kg. A2 most brands. Phone Post

I competed at middle at the pans weighed in at 172 with my gi on, it was an A1 Moya Hawaiian colth. Took bronze then decided to cut gluten and refined sugar out of my diet, now Im at feather 154.. still rocking an A1 my A2's are all super baggy on me now.. I think you should move down to lightweight.

i'm in the same boat as you (smaller guy in middle weight) and have no problem dropping to light weight, but i hate dieting.

anyway, i wear either a koral comp a1 or atama gold a2. i never competed in it, but i have a predator mkII a2 which is kind of baggy on me.

I have an A3 Atama that fits me well, but I'm a bit taller than you and im fairly broad. Its not my best fitting for sure. A2 syr is perfect.
