I read this site almost everyday but don't post often. I'm sick and tired of some of you idiot fans who come on here and talk shit on the pro fighters.
Franklin got beat last night, he made no excuses and hopefully will come back strong. Some of you morons turn it into a pride/ufc thing but A. Silva is a great fighter. He suprised me that is for sure.
Then you have the idiots talking shit on Florian. They are the same people that said Sherk would destroy Florian. What else can you ask for besides a 5 rd war? But no, you guys talk about Florian grabbing the fence or him using elbows to cut. As my name indicates I was a wrestler for 20 yrs but I dislike when wrestlers dont evolve, like Sherk. During a 5 rd fight where he spent 20 minutes or more in the top position he basically did no damage at all. He gained full mount in the last rd and just locked Kenny up for 30 secs without trying to finish the fight.
I think sherk won the fight with UFC scoring but I dont think takedowns alone should win fights. The ref should have stood that fight up so much quicker.
I'm not taking anything away from Sherk because he is tough as hell, but instead of you guys dogging the fighters come on and give props for these guys stepping up and having a 25 minute war.
He should have been penalized for grabbing the fence but put youself in that spot, you just fought a guy for over 20 minutes. Most likely, you are in instinct mode trying to do what you can to win.
Answer this though, how frustrating would it be for someone to be on top of you not really doing anything and the ref doesnt stand you up?
Where did you see me say anything about amazing BJJ? Thats right you didnt. If that is a great ground and pound where was the damage. Matt Hammil did more damage in 15 minutes vs Seth than Sherk did in what 20+ on top. Be realistic, I said Sherk won the fight but come on. You call that being outclassed, you were probably one of the people saying Sherk by TKO RD1.
with respect to the poster, florian is known for spiking an elbow on the forehead to get a cut...he was praying it would be called / stopped. watch the fight and you'll see him look to his corner and say "it's in his eye" with a big smile as if he again lucked out with a stoppage.
also the grabbing the fence thing is illegal...why defend it?
No offence but maybe you should step away from your computer, take a deep breath, count to ten, and contemplate the fact that an internet forum full of strangers opinions has ruined your day.
Everything will be fine, Kenny will be back and so will Franklin. They are both great and have more respect than they can handle right now. I agree there are trolls out the ass since TUF came round', it's just the internet and if we all agreed then I'd have absolutely no reason to visit/post here. Keep your chin up and remember that I personally promise they will be back and kicking ass sooner than later!
Who defended it, I said he should have been penalized for grabbing the fence. If you have a weapon like those elbows you use them. Especially vs a guy that is going to take the fight to the ground over and over.
Maybe Kenny should have worked on TD defense a little bit more but in my opinion they both fought like warriors.
I'm just saying give them credit instead of nit picking Kenny because you guys dont like him.

yeah GREAT GROUND AND POUND! No wonder the referee stood sherk up like 51 times because sherk was doing alot of damage from the top right??? Weak lay and pray and just using his strenght to hold Kenny down IMO.
