If Green namers do not have a winning record

or if they have less than 5 fights (in the last 10 years) should be treated like any other fan on this site when it comes to "fighter bashing".

Cause quite frankly when you are rolling out a record of (0-1) and (1-3) from 2002 you aren't a professional fighter, period.

A Professional fighter makes part of his living fighting, just "stepping into the cage" in some bar a couple of times does not = professional.

Always makes me shake my head at some green names trashing real pro fighters on here.

some of us are retired fighters, and retired from coaching to spend time with the wife and kids, the family who we missed growing up because we were in the gym 7 days a week (and holding down a fulltime job)... some of us have been around the sport since it was young, before it was main stream and on cable TV...

That said, i dont bash any fighter willing to step in the cage, pro or not, it takes courage to fight,to train and it takes stepping away from a keyboard

Any man or women who steps into any cage or ring deserves your respect. They are fighting for your entertainment, no matter how big or small the venue or promotion. I've fought twice as an amateur and nothing is worse than somebody being disrespectful while they sit on the sidelines. I have respect for any fighter who is 0-1, 11-0,12-80, or any other number combination that isn't 0-0. Phone Post

Any man (or woman) who willingly walks into a cage (or ring) and square off against another person deserves respect. You could be 0-20 and you still deserve respect for the effort you put in.



That said, no fighter is above legitimate criticism. If you decide to go Brett Rogers on your wife, I don't care if you're 50-3, you will get criticized and deserve it.

Stepping in the cage deserves some respect, frankly it is more than most will do. At the same time, nobody is "above the law" even if you have a green name. If you bash undeservedly you should be condemned. In saying that, being a fighter doesn't eliminate all criticism. Bisping yelling fuck you all? Chael constantly lying? There are certain times fighters do deserve to get "bashed" to an extent.

 So Tank Abbot isn't a real fighter?   LoL @that junk.  He's probably the single most aggressive, ferocious fighter of his time, regardless of his losing record.  Come on meng.
