if min wage went to $15

after initially shocking the economic ecosystem where some small businesses would die off, wouldn't everything adjust to costing more and thus there would be very little affect in standard of living?

Already happened in CA.  That's why the bay area is full of people living out of RV and cars

lucky to make any wage at this point...

raising minimum wage means giving raises to people with entry level jobs while at the same time making less entry level jobs available and inflating the the cost of living for everyone. So you shouldn't be in favor of raising minimum wage if you make more than minimum wage or ever plan to make above minimum wage anytime in the future.

Connecticut is raising the minimum wage $1 every 6 months starting this July until they hit $15 an hour min. Should be interesting to see the shit show that unfolds.

Correct

Labor is such a small coat of most businesses.  Probably smaller impact than anticipated.

This is what the liberals want you to think, things actually get worse because fewer people can be employed and the cost of everything in the supply chain goes up

Taco Bell tacos would go up to $4 each. The man is going to get your money one way or the other.

This. The people who stay employed ultimately stay the same as prices increase, and the people who were let go are worse off

You don’t understand economics you or with your join date as off two days ago you are part of the 50 cent army spreading misinformation.

I know you a fuckhead troll but how can the price of labor rise to 15.00 per hours if unemployment is out of control.

Technically speaking your advocating for the bottom of the bucket jobs/careers to not be any more valuable then they currently are. Now you want those same people who are working bottom of the bucket jobs to receive more money without any type of additional skillset being needed.

You can even look at it as what percentage of the daily workforce are actually making minimum wage? Are we talking 5%, 20%, 80%? Thats not closing the wealth gap, which is mainly what supporters of increasing minimum wage are trying to enact. How many succesful people do you know that make minimum wage?

We need to stop acting like minimum wage jobs are good careers. In the end those people who allow themselves to succomb to those types of jobs are not willing to put the necessary time in to gain more skills. By doing so they are more likely to be able to get higher paying jobs.

We just want to throw pocket change at them and act like we are helping them. i hate being so crast about it but those people who have chosen careers paying minimum wage do not deserve a bump in pay. Its nothing more then a band aid.

Find a way to allow those people better themselves as opposed to giving them a handout.

A perfect example would have been my dad's oil rigs. He was non union and he started laborers at 17 an HR. Hard work but we usually just hired straight out of high school or people with that we knew with criminal backgrounds. and it was trully entry level.

I   hired My budy straight out of jail . He was big  Patrice O'Neil looking black dude that would have never considered the job if he only made 2 bucks more than McDonald's. It wasHard work and long hrs. Fast forward five yrs and he is almost making 3 figures. If he would have went to work at McDonald's he would have been back in prison.

I thought they already raised minimum wage to $15 several years ago when all of those fast food workers went on strike?

No. There are certain states that have raised it, but not the federal minimum wage.
