Will everyone start saying he is invincible and can't be beat? Or because he has lost before, will people wake up... and realize the LHW title is cursed and no one can ever defend it? XD
Yea same basic principle as my thread just you defined the names as Rashad and Jon Jones. I don't understand why people are so quick to label and crown people "The Best", I don't think in a sport as versatile as MMA there even can be a BEST, there can be a most accomplished and a most well rounded.
There are many, many members on the forum who are not easily blinded or influenced.
Please try not to generalize.
Carry on.
Rampage defended it.......
Okay, not EVERYONE... but at least a good 50% who proclaim a fighter invincible after one dominating title victory, agree?
Brainscan - Rampage defended it.......
Once. But obviously that was not the point of the thread...
That number still seems high, but I will agree that after every UFC PPV or Fight Night, the number of sheep & uneducated fans on the UG rises dramatically.
machida defended it... cough
everyone is beatable

One? JJ has had nothing but dominating victories.
supersaiyan - everyone is beatable
THIS is the point. To add to it, any high level fighter can beat any other high level fighter, no matter how bad the matchup, even barring fluke injuries. I think current Overeem is a HORRIBLE matchup for Werdum, for example, but still wouldn't dare to give Werdum less than a 30% chance to beat him. There are just too many variables in a fight, and anything can happen.
I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Jeff Monson cut down to 205, was signed by the UFC, and submitted Machida and Jon Jones in his first two fights.
Rashad has less than 0% chance at beating Jones right now.. if that's possible.

boom ... the things is also there is no consistency to get comfortable....we saw what happen to Brock ,SHane, Lyoto and Bader for starters...all got got beat and convincingly ---
NO ONE is THAT BAAADDAAASSS they cant lose at some point
superCalo - Rashad has only been beaten once, he got caught, it can happen to anyone, even Jon Jones, all his other fights apart from perhaps the Bisping fight he has pretty much domminated.
Wow, Calo making the most sense of anyone on this thread. I think if Jones keeps his head on straight I think he can keep the title for a while but NO ONE is immune to getting caught.
