If the fighters can't get a union...

Can the fans organise themselves into a form of a union?

With treatment of fighters like Roy Nelson, the Diaz bro's, the Reebok debacle etc is there a way our voices could be more united in order to see change?

The fighters have their hands tied. If they speak up, they face their livelihood being stripped from them. The fighters quite often plead with the fans to be more vocal on their behalf.

Who is willing to do that?

Here is an idea:
- Start a Facebook group for example 'MMA Fair Practice Union' (MFPU).

- Members discuss issues surrounding the treatment of MMA fighters. Votes can be taken to take action on any given issue.

- Letters can be drafted for all members to use and they will be sent en masse to the offending party. The members who have sent letters can comment to confirm.

- Letters may contain an appropriate course of action IE Boycotting events, attending events with fighter support signs, letters to governing bodies etc. Social media like twitter could be used for fighter support. Using Roy Nelson or Meathead for example, we could send out 5,000 tweets to the UFC demanding fair pay.

If we got a decent sized group, we could actually have a voice.

Thoughts?

Not sure where this is going, or gone, but thats what this was originally
