that you don't believe deserve a shot, put away your tissues, pry yourselves away from Danas balls and have a look at Nick Diaz for a second.
I love watching the guy as much as anyone else. He's a great fighter and deserves to be the champ.
Having said that... there is NO way in hell that Mach Sakurai should get first crack at his belt.
Funny.....
People bitch about Brett Rodgers and Fabricio Werdum getting a shot to fight Fedor.. yet no one says a damn thing when THE CHAMP Nick Diaz is about to be fed a 35 year old Sakurai who is coming off back to back losses , both of which were finishes.
Morans like Hojak are quick to bash Fedor because he's fighting one of only 3 options he has left outside of the ufc, AND HES NOT EVEN THE CHAMPION, in case you forgot.
This scenerio is no different then when Fedor beat the piss out of Mark Coleman, and people were all over it about how Coleman didn't deserve a shot. At least Mark was coming off a win...
This is a travesty and it makes me sick to my stomach. I don't care how boring Jay Hieron is, if you can justify giving Jon "the duvet" Fitch a title shot on the biggest stage in MMA, surely you can make an exception for a man who has lost just once in the last 4 years.

Your logic is sound, except for one thing...
Nick is in Strikeforce because he was let go by UFC..
Fedor did not want to fight for UFC for any amount of money, and chose specifically to fight "the best available" outside of the only major organization.
Can't really blame Strikeforce so much.. they have no heavy division to speak of, and Fedor knew that (Overeem had already not defended his belt for a year and half) going in
im a big fan of his
but if Sakurai really gets the next title shot, it is indeed a joke

He's not with SF because he was cut by the UFC. Yes, Nick was released in 2006 after losing 3 fights in a row (Diego, Riggs & Sherk), but they brought him back a few months later and he won his next two matches (UFC's 62 & 65). Zuffa wanted him to stay but HE elected not to (felt he had a better opportunity with GFC).
His bout with GFC never happened (event cancelled due to poor ticket sales, IIRC) so he ended up signing with Pride.
