The IFL held a media teleconference today for Chris Horodecki and Jay Hieron in advance of the promotion's December 29 IFL World Grand Prix Finals. MMA Madness' TJ Janday was on the call and here are his notes.

Chris Horodecki

  • Horodecki has had three opponent changes for the Grand Prix title fight and although he feels it does take away from the best vs. best format of the tournament, he still respects his new opponent and takes the fight very seriously.

  • Horodecki doesn't think he's at a disadvantage in having yet another new opponent because he has been training for the Grand Prix all along while his latest opponent, Ryan Schultz, took the fight on only two-week notice.
