I was wondering if anyone had anything that they wanted to share regarding the IFL tryouts in Costa Mesa, California yesterday. Let us know if you participated!

The tryouts went like this, you checked in at the table, then they gave you a band with ur name on it to put around your ankle, wrote a number on your leg, and then you waited until your weight class and name was called.
-The first round of sparring consited of drilling takedowns, going live for takedowns, rolling jiujitsu, and kickboxing with takedowns. All of these were around 1 minute rounds. So going hard was essential if u wanted to get the coaches attention.
- The second round consisted of 2 one minute rounds with mma gloves and head gear.
-Brett Cooper

I saw that there was full on MMA sparring with MMA gloves. That's cool.

i thought ppl were told to only go 50 %
That's great in theory but i can only imagine that the level rises quite a bit in a situation like that.
I got confirmation e-mail invitation to tryout, I didnt go though.
