Ilima-Lei MacFarlane vs Paige Vanzant what happens

Recently Paige Vanzant has made news after losing in the 1st round to Amanda Ribas. After going 2-4 in her last 6 outings Paige is ready to look past the UFC. Bellator and BKFC are interested.

Ilima-Lei recently went on MMA Junkie and other news stations saying she might be interested in taking on Paige. Ilima-Lei is 11-0 10-0 in Bellator & incredibly dominant so far.

In a battle for the Bellator flyweight title would Paige have a chance?

PVZ is a lot better than most give her credit for. Aggressive, may not be the most technical, but she’s young and can improve over time. She won’t ever be a Rose, Valentina, Joanna, Zhang, or Andrade... but she brings it whether it’s impressive or not.

Bellator is a great avenue. The bare knuckle talk is all smoke and mirrors.

Most likely outcome is I need a few tissues

PVZ taps. Early. Probably because she headlocked.

If Bellator gets her they should build her confidence up with a few winnable fights first.

They should make a fight with IIima-Lai be a goal for the future and in the meantime let Paige get the experience to build technically and mentally and they can build the fight promotionally.

Problem with that is if she loses those winnable fights, they lose out.

She already has a name… you throw her to the wolves. If she loses, the investment makes your champ look great and possibly on the level of the UFC elite.

If PVZ goes in and loses to your gatekeeper, then all you did was confirm the UFC was right in letting her go.

If she comes in and beats your champ, then you have a marketable name fighter that is now the face of your division. The only downside is confirming your champ was not yet at the level of the UFC, which many will assume and suspect anyways.

There is a problem with giving her your best too. What if she wins?

If I were Bellator and I had to pick between two scenarios... Paige comes in and wins against the top in the division or Paige comes in and loses to the bottom.I would rather have Paige lose to the bottom. At least then it maintains the image of your organization having quality fighters.

But the best scenario imo again is to let her fight and grow so you build her up to be a quality fighter in both reality and in the minds of fans.

Dumb move on Bellators part IMO

I agree with you about this, however, will she ever take the time to put in the true work she needs for higher level fights, or enough to improve? I think she has entirely too much time invested in other things like looking cute on IG with her cuck husband. She does a lot of modeling, and I think that’s truly where her heart is at. With all that, I think fighting and training comes secondary for her.

I don’t think there’s a single “winnable” Bellator fight that PVZ doesn’t breeze through without even training. She’s much better than she gets credit for and Bellator would find plenty of 2-5 cans for her to tap out.

she doesnt want to fight anymore

I only want to watch her in a scissoring match with other hot females at this point. Make it happen!!!

Paige would get tapped by Ilima for sure
