MEXICO CITY, Mexico - After risking their lives in the hopes of making it into the United States, migrants from Central American are demanding safer ways to cross the border.
Thousands of immigrants jump on a freight train called the "La Bestia" -- which means "The Beast." and the name holds true meaning.
Along the route many will end up either losing their limbs or being killed as a result of falling under the wheels.
Many others end up being robbed or attacked by gangs.
If that is not enough of a risk, if you make it alive, you still have a chance of getting caught and arrested.
During a protest Monday, more than a dozen people in attendance had lost a limb in their attempt to cross the border.
They say it should not be that dangerous and are calling for safer alternatives.

Businesses and corporations are equally at fault for the illegal immigrant problem. Illegals come over here for a better opportunity and we give it to them. Not talking about government assistance but actual work.
I have not met a single Mexican illegal that is not willing to put in the sweat to earn his dollar. Construction companies can get 3 immigrants and pay no taxes on that payroll for 1 legit American citizen employee. Citizens won't do that kind of work for what the immigrants do it for. If businesses stopped handing out jobs to them and sources out the work to citizens, we wouldn't have this problem.
Well we are building ESL schools now outside DC to handle all the new immigrants. The NAACP is suing to try and stop it since it will take resources from black students in Prince George county MD.

And actually, I was born in Fullerton, California but moved to New England when I was a few years old. I'd love to move out there again, but it seems unaffordable. Sucks cause a few of my good friends from college moved out there, and my wife always says she wants to move to San Diego or something near the cost, but everything is crazy expensive in CA.

Mexico is famously hypocritical in the way they treat illegal immigrants from South America. They don't give a shit about the train of death, or if South American immigrants are abused or killed by Mexican cartels. But illegal immigrants that attempt to stay in Mexico face serious legal consequences, including prison sentences for repeat offenders that dwarf those given rapists and violent criminals.
Pena Nieto will stand on his soapbox, demanding better treatment and social welfare for Mexican citizens living illegally in the United States, but they LOVE to put the boot to South American immigrants.
