"I'm fighting Pettis ..."

Are the words Nate Diaz just tweeted

@NateDiaz209: Nah Fuck that I'm fightin Pettis

Big Diaz fan but showtime might kick him one to many times in the head IMO Phone Post 3.0

I think he'd do better against Tony Pettis than he did with Thompson. he'd still lose, and he doesn't deserve a fight with Pettis to begin with, but it'd be a fun fight. and ever since the UFC has started making stupid ass backwards fights, the UG has gone along with it claiming that they are "fun fights"

Diaz has one of the best styles to beat Pettis. Fighters haven't figured out that Pettis can't fight going backwards the key to beating him isn't just wrestling it's getting him to move backwards. Pettis isn't a great puncher it's his kicks. Phone Post

Umm no. Pettis is an excellent counter puncher and will/would easily kick Nate to sweet unconsciousness. This fight will never happen though.

Eh, Diaz was head kicked by Josh Thomson if I'm not mistaken.

Josh Thompson is responsible for 3 of the most brutal and memorable HK-KO's in the history of the UFC. Not even Pettis can touch the level of HK legend status that Thompson deserves.

Counter puncher?

What top ranked fighter in the UFC has he beat with punches? Pettis is amazing that's not the argument but he's not known for his punches. Phone Post

You need a finish with punches to be a great counter puncher? You can see the first Bendo fight for example, Pettis was landing very nice counters throughout

Pettis was lighting up Cerrone with counter punches before the finish. This theory that he's not as good moving backwards is silly.

Pettis had the wrong game plan for the guida fught, even then he still should have won it. Current pettis is even better now he would oblitarate guida.

Nate would get tkod within the first three rounds. The high volume hand striking wont do him much good against anthony. Pettis would blitz him with a few punches and whole lot of kicks to the leg and body. Eventually nate would open up and pettis would go upstairs and finish it with a kick. Easy fight for him.

GSP24 - Guida told guys in Chicago last night that he's trying to get permission to return to 155 now that Pettis is champ. Phone Post 3.0
He doesn't need permission to go back to 155. Even when he does its not like the UFC going to give him a title shot right away. Phone Post 3.0

Nate diaz that got ko'd last fight? Phone Post

Lol, you pretty much quoted Benson's post fight speech. Pettis is good everywhere. Of course he's more effective going forward, since he's an aggressive fighter, but he cancounter as well.
