Just decided an hour ago that I am going to make the 8 hour drive to Calgary tomorrow for the fights. My best friend lives there and for years we have wanted to take in a big boxing match together in Vegas but have been unable to afford it at the same time. I've been to two UFC events in Montreal and one in Vancouver but wasn't planning on going to this one in Calgary because I am tight on cash this summer. Originally I wanted to take my 10 year old son and my buddy was going to take his son but no can afford. However, I am a selfish bastard when it comes to the fights and I have cracked at the last moment like I did when I made the 8 hour drive to Vancouver the day before and scored a ticket at the event.
My buddy is trying to land some tickets, he lives in Calgary and has never been to a UFC. However, he is not sure how to go about it so I ask the UG if anyone has some cheaper tickets available I would like to hear about it. As I mentioned, I am tight on cash and the drive out there and back on top of the ticket is leaving me with a tigght budget so I am thinking the most I can afford it about $200 for each ticket for my friend and I. Someone suggested I might be able to land better seats at less than cost outside the Saddledome but I am afraid to risk it after making the long trip. I am off to bed soon and I must work in the morning but I will check in tomorrow before I hit the highway around mid-afternoon, hoping to arrive in Calgary at around 10pm.
Anybody who can help a UG'er out. I am hoping to land seats closer to the redline of the rink than on the far ends. In my experience that is the line of site you want in an arena. Thanks in advance!

Anyhow, thanks for the tip, but I just went to the stubhub link you gave me and it says no tickets available for UFC 149. Sorry I can't be there in time for the poetry reading........hope to see a vid on the UG though. For the record, even though you have a history of beating our Canadian fighters I have started betting on you since you took out Hallman the night he wore the panties into the cage. No fight fan should have been subjected to that nut show!
PS - I would have thought you'd be in bed by this time with a fight in less than 48 hours.

Well that was a shitty sleep that was. Thanks for the input guys, duckhuntgangsta just told me enough to not bother with RJJH.........that is a shitty move to pull. Not to mention, I just read the thread in which he made an ass of himself with CindyO and DFWjr. That was pretty funny. Wish I could get my hands on the tickets he nearly received from Dana. Would even stop to take pics of wildlife with a UG sign along my drive today, because there is always wildlife on this 8 hour stretch of mountains to prairies highway! Tickets if I can get pics of something with horns? At the very least, something horny along the way?
