In your opinion if Silva fought only 4 more fights

Who would they be against? Realistically speaking, he already said he's not chasing the title nor does he plan on fulfilling his 10 fight deal which has 8 fights left. Now with his age and recent injury, if he came out and said he has 2 more years left in him, only 4 fights, similar to what Floyd said, who would you think those 4 would be?

IMO I believe Nick Diaz will be 1 and that may just happen sometime next year. Another name is Cung Le, these two go way back as there has always been some hype for a potential match between them. Next I would say probably Bisping as that's the next logical big fight for him. The last one is hard to choose but I will say Wanderlei Silva, that's a fight that has been teased in the past and would be an awesome send off for both fighters and that fight should be held in Brazil.

So what do y'all think? Phone Post 3.0

Bisping, Le, Diaz, Rich Franklin Phone Post 3.0

Only 4?
If he fights 3 more I'd be floored.

But I'll stick with two, which is likely IF he comes back at all.

-Diaz, GSP

Preference?

I'd like to see TNT Vitor rematch
I'd like to see a fight with Cung Le, very entertaining
I'd like to see Bisping get the long eluded shot
Melvin Manhoef
Jon Jones
Machida
Jacare
Hector Lombard

Diaz and Le are the best picks, but, I don't need him to comeback at all. There's nothing left to prove when you're a Legend.

Nick, Le, GSP and Bisping just for the lols.

GSP, rockhold, hendo at 205 and Kennedy(because only way he wins is if he juices and when he gets caught ill lol) Phone Post 3.0

1 Shogun

#2 Rashad

#3 Diaz

#4 GSP

If they bring him in eventually (I think they will) and he recovers from his similar injury, I think Spong would be a lot of fun.

I like the Rockhold idea, but I have a feeling he'll be fighting for the belt eventually.

IMO he has the best toolset to potentially dethrone Weidman - size, reach, striking and good wrestling.

I don't know but he needs to finish on four fight win streak Phone Post 3.0

Yes exactly, silvas still a beast and that fight would give a idea of rockhold at top level competition. Love silva but he doesn't need gimme fights near his end. Phone Post 3.0

I like the idea of the Rashad fight but the chances of that happening are slim to none Phone Post 3.0

By the time that fight were even to materialize, we're talking several years into an already storied career; with Anderson entering his forties after returning from a serious injury and a wound (however small) to his aura of invisibility that took him. IMO a continually evolved Rockhold would beat Silva at that point in their respective careers. Admittedly, I wouldn't want to see that - a legend like Silva being relegated to a potential gatekeeper? No thanks.

It isn't as if Silva is going to return and rattle off four fights in some standstill vacuum of space/time. He could fight a returned Fedor or Chuck, or even Rampage, and I would be more satisfied than to see him attempting to favor matches to satisfy rankings over curiosities - an idea to which he has already expressed his displeasure.

I also disagree with any assumption that the likes of Shogun, Rashad, Diaz, Cung Le or GSP would be "gimme fights". Each is stylistically intriguing, imo harkening back to the days of Pride, where matches were made primarily because they were spectacular curiosities rather than determinants of rank, contendership and status on arbitrary lists and categories.

Most of the other picks others have named above are tremendously appealing as well. But I personally have no desire to see him fight Kennedy.....or Bisping, really.

Until I saw him talk garbage and then wither against Bisping, I would have also included Belcher. But who knows? A resurgent Belcher could reinvigorate that possibility as well.

Most of all, I'd prefer to see his last fights be dueled out with any others in the sport who most embody the spirit of martial arts, excitement/entertainment, and unique style.

Kind Sir - Nick, Le, GSP and Bisping just for the lols.

I agree with your picks.... Don't care to see Bisping match up but would be fun to watch Silva knock him the fuck out.

Don silva speaking the truth, I'll come back tomorrow and catch you up with a VU. Phone Post 3.0

Diaz, cung le, gsp, and Wiedman. In that order. I think he demolishes Diaz, has a fairly easy time with le, has a war with gsp that he stops in the later rounds. Confidence should be high for Wiedman. Then retire. Phone Post 3.0
