Its still a 3rd degree felony for the hit & run alone in an injury accident instance which could lead to jail time, don't forget Ol bones has DUIs & a nice meaty record for a judge to see.
The reports say the 20 year old woman received "minor injuries."
To receive a 3rd degree felony, she would've had to have suffered "great bodily harm."
All down to who chooses what great bodily harm constitutes, and what the injuries were. Ambulance chaser lawyers will see massive money in Jones especially on a hit & run which puts him in direct fault.
"Minor injuries" at an ER standpoint essentially means non-life-threatening. I've I break a collar bone & my wrist during a bad slam which would be "minor" outpatient matter from an ER standpoint, but to me or most anyone who works would be a "great bodily harm".
He's no where near home-free on this especially with his past record they'll bring up, and its waaaay to soon to say " he will just pleas out or no contest & catch probation"
