Integrating ColdFusion w/ phpBB?

Has anyone here attempted any degree of integration between phpBB and ColdFusion?

I have phpBB installed, and I'd like (CF) apps on the same server, that I'd like to share the phpBB login with. So basically I need CF to recognize whether or not the user is logged in, and what their username (or ID) is.

Any thoughts on where to start? Their cookie looks a little crazy:

phpbb2mysql_sid

c9d62672dd8656462d6cfa45c0099c18

phpbb2mysql_data

a%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A11%3A%22autologinid%22%3Bs%3A32%3A%22e7446f05aabacd0f7b4ce2f15342bf6f%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22userid%22%3Bi%3A2%3B%7D

phpbb2mysql_data

a%3A2%3A%7Bi%3A27%3Bi%3A1106007484%3Bi%3A26%3Bi%3A1106007491%3B%7D

Any thoughts on whether or not CF can do anything with these, or where to begin my quest?

Thanks.

just integrate php with it and build upon it, wouldn't that be easier than integrating Coldfusion with it?

That cookie data is probably TripleDES encrypted. Same as our MMA.tv cookies. You would need a 24 character (192 bit) key to crack it. I don't know much about php but if you can look through the code and figure out what key it uses I suppose it could be possible to decrypt the cookie.

Not for me, it isn't. I have 6 years of CF programming experience, and all I can do is output the date in PHP. I plan to learn someday, but definitely not on this project. Gotta stick with what I know for this one. Unless, of course, it simply can't be done. In which case, I'll have no choice but to sub it out in PHP.

This is a shot in the dark here.

If you can get the user's IP address with CF, perhaps you can reference
the phpBB database using that IP to see whether they are logged in or
not.

Looks like I (kinda) got it figured out. One of the cookies references phpBB's session ID, so I should be able to query that.
